We are very fortunate to have as guest speaker for STAFFWEEK, Mrs. Marla Coleman, a popular and dynamic spokeswoman for camping in America. A dedicated camp professional, Mrs. Coleman has expressed her admiration for the accomplishment and dedication of the young people who conduct Chabad camps around the world. In this workshop, she will show our camp leadership how to bring out the best in your staff, run your camp with professionalism and introduce new ideas to make the camp a memorable experience for your campers.

Marla is the past-president of the ACA (American Camping Association), the only national accrediting and education agency for camps. She serves as the chief spokesperson and trainer for the organization whose members include 2,600 camps (including a growing number of Chabad camps). Marla also is owner-director of three camps in the New York metropolitan area. Marla grew up on Eastern Parkway and was a teacher at Torah Academy for Girls in Far Rockaway.

Spreading the word that "Camp gives kids a world of good," Marla speaks nationwide on how to manage a top-notch camp for every child. As a dynamic national camp staff trainer, she sees that in today's world, camp is a vital part of a child's life and therefore staff training cannot be underestimated. "Camp is a community built especially for children to practice growing up." The kind of counselor a child will have, can change his/her entire life!

There will be a short presentation of the Tzivos Hashem Achievement program for use at camp. Samples of the new Ranks and Mitzvah Badges will available to workshop participants.
