Role of Staff
This program has been established in order to best use the existing camp's resources to implement it. The Skills have been selected from topics and activities which many camps have been doing previously.
With minimal planning, a camp can implement this program with its existing staff and structure.
Head camp staff, knowing the talents of their bunk counselors, learning teachers, activity directors, lifeguards, and other staff, can best select those people most qualified to teach the Skills and certify the completion of requirements. While some requirements may indeed be approved by any staff member when appropriate, the designated staff for each Skill should be considered by campers as their main resource in that Skill, as well as the one who must give final approval for completion of that Skill Badge.
In order to make these designated staff members easily identifiable to campers, those staff may wear their respective Badges and Ribbons for those Skills in which they have been designated.
